Frye Museum
Branding
Over seven weeks, I redesigned the brand identity for Seattle's Frye Art Museum. Open to the public, the Frye offers a unique blend of traditional 19th-century collections alongside dynamic contemporary exhibitions. The new identity emphasizes this contrast, drawing on elements from both classic gallery aesthetics and modern displays, resulting in a sleek, Massimo Vignelli-inspired look.

The gaps in the Logotype were inspired by the gaps found in the Frye’s 19th century gallery wall lockup. The shapes created by the gaps can be restructured into a silhouette of the museum, which is used as an additional graphic asset.
